This presentation represents the tension of interconnected bodies.
Through process and circumstance the work is imbued with notions of the release of past pain and future anxiety, a process of self-renewal that transforms sorrow into hope through color and form. Taking over six months to complete as a ritual of healing after the “Hedgehog’s Dilemma” series, it evokes the shedding of snake’s skin — casting off the old self to emerge.
The work stands as LIVIDO’s largest and most emotionally charged piece, embodying both the husk left behind and the soul that moves forward. On either side, the black sculptural bags speak to the weight of memory and the vessels we carry forward.
Constructed with meticulous handwork, they embody resilience, containment, and the quiet endurance. Together, LIVIDO’s work engages in the dialogue between release and retention, lightness and gravity, tracing the thread between letting go and holding on.
